Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and strategic Employee Communications and Engagement Manager to support global employee and executive communications for a large marketing organization. This is not a traditional program management role — it is a communications-first position focused on translating business priorities and leadership direction into clear, compelling, and actionable employee communications, programs, communities, and events. The ideal candidate combines exceptional writing and storytelling skills with strong program management capabilities, thrives in fast-paced environments, and operates with a high degree of independence. Experience with AI-assisted tools and a demonstrated ability to support senior leaders are strong differentiators.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute employee communications plans supporting organizational and leadership priorities
Draft employee announcements, executive messages, manager communications, event communications, recaps, and supporting materials
Translate complex business priorities and leadership direction into clear, engaging, and actionable employee-facing communications
Partner with communications leadership to develop executive content including talking points, presentations, social content, and organizational messaging
Support executive visibility initiatives and develop content for LinkedIn, Viva Engage, and other leadership channels
Develop key message frameworks, FAQs, communication toolkits, and reusable communications assets and templates
Maintain editorial consistency and apply strong editorial judgment across all channels and audiences
Manage and evolve employee communications communities, including developing agendas, content, resources, and follow-through activities
Lead communications and production support for key organizational events including All Hands, AMAs, manager meetings, partner meetings, and community events
Build event communication plans, workback schedules, run-of-show documents, and production plans
Coordinate vendors, budgets, timelines, and logistics for events and engagement programs
Serve as a communications partner to stakeholders across the marketing organization, consulting on messaging, audience strategy, and communications approaches
Build integrated plans across communications, events, communities, and engagement activities
Anticipate stakeholder needs, identify downstream implications, and drive cross-functional coordination and follow-through
Utilize AI tools appropriately to accelerate content development and improve quality
Manage and publish content on SharePoint and Viva Engage platforms
Requirements:
5–7+ years of experience in employee communications, corporate communications, executive communications, community management, or a related field
5+ years of experience developing communication strategies and plans and drafting executive and organizational communications
5+ years of experience managing complex communications initiatives with cross-functional stakeholder engagement
3+ years of experience managing employee events, communications programs, communities, or engagement initiatives including event production support
Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders and developing executive-facing content
Experience supporting large organizations through major organizational moments such as reorganizations, strategy rollouts, and priority initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field preferred
Equivalent combination of education and professional experience in employee or corporate communications will be considered
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to produce strong first drafts requiring strategic refinement rather than complete rewrites
Demonstrated ability to translate complex organizational priorities into clear, compelling, and actionable employee communications
Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail across varied audiences including employees, managers, leaders, and community members
Experience developing and executing end-to-end communications plans from strategy through delivery
Ability to draft executive communications including talking points, presentations, organizational announcements, and social content
Strong program and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives
Experience managing employee events, communications programs, communities, or engagement initiatives
Ability to balance communications strategy with execution excellence across events and organizational moments
