Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering comprehensive primary care across diverse patient populations. Your role will involve collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes, managing acute and chronic conditions, and promoting health education.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing our EMR systems AzaleaHealth to document findings accurately.
- Manage a wide range of clinical procedures including suturing and IV infusions.
- Provide specialized care across the lifespan.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Engage in telehealth consultations if needed to extend access to quality healthcare services beyond traditional settings.
Requirements
- 2 years experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required.
- Valid state licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner with current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Proven experience working in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU, or outpatient clinics.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; experience with EMR/EHR management is essential.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), and drug enforcement regulations (DEA).
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations across age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient education.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team committed to quality care standards.
- Critical care experience is highly desirable; additional skills in acute care, hospital medicine, or post-acute care are advantageous.
