About This Role
The Augustana Early Learning Center is an outreach ministry that welcomes children of all faiths, cultures, and ethnicities. We provide a nurturing environment that promotes learning and well-being. We're seeking a full-time support ECE teacher to join our team of fantastic teachers! The ideal candidate is caring, energetic, and passionate about working with children.
What You'll Do

Facilitate daily activities that stimulate learning and development in preschool children

Create a supportive environment that encourages each child's growth and well-being

Observe and assess each child's progress, identifying opportunities to enhance their social competencies and self-esteem

Organize and supervise activities, ensuring the children's safety and well-being at all times

Foster positive relationships among children and promote social skills and conflict resolution

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards

Establish and enforce hygiene practices, including hand washing, bathroom routines, and snack and meal times

Maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's daily experiences

Ensure compliance with Colorado licensing rules and regulations for Child Care Centers

Develop and implement a creative curriculum that aligns with the Center's educational goals
Requirements

This position requires the ability to engage with children at their level, including assuming low postures such as kneeling, squatting, bending, stooping, and sitting on the ground.

Able to work in a classroom setting and outdoors on the playground, accommodating the children's needs and activities.

Comfortable with soothing children who may be distressed or new to group care, providing comfort and reassurance as needed.

Regular attendance is essential for this position, as it directly impacts the children's well-being and the team's success.

Ability to lift 35lbs.

Hold a Lead Teacher qualification or be currently pursuing the necessary coursework to achieve this certification.

Work hours are from 8:00-5:00 pm.
