- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift Options:
- 10-Hour Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 8-Hour Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Experience Required: 1 Year
- Weekly Pay: $1960 to $2650
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
- Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and bronchoscopy when applicable
- Perform patient assessments and verify medical history, allergies, and informed consent
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and moderate sedation as prescribed
- Continuously monitor patients throughout procedures and during recovery
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by preparing equipment and ensuring procedural efficiency
- Educate patients and families regarding procedure preparation, recovery, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Ensure proper cleaning, handling, and processing of endoscopic equipment according to infection prevention guidelines
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements
- Active RN License in New York
- Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Experience with procedural sedation and recovery preferred
- Strong knowledge of GI procedures, endoscopy equipment, and infection prevention standards
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: $1,960.00 - $2,650.00 per week
