Position Summary: The MRI Technologist performs high quality MRI scans while delivering excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
1) ARRT(MRI) certification or ARMRIT certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans on patients utilizing existing radiologist devised protocols
- Provide excellent patient care & customer service to all patients being scanned
- Administer IV contrast to MRI patients when requested by requisition/script
- Ability to work both independently and as a team-player.
- Must be flexible with schedule
- Perform Weekly ACR mandated quality control on MRI scanner
- Assist with image acquisition for ACR submissions
- Interact with radiologists when necessary regarding protocols & special applications
- Ensure MRI scan room is safely secured from general public & non-screened employees.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintain Licensing by adhering to CEU responsibilities.
- Complete Daily Totals Sheet.
- Initial & verify charges match authorization & script.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager
- Report Statistics to MRI supervisor.
- Submit peer review on a monthly basis.
- Enter MRI Orders in Athena and bill out scans when completed
