About the Role
Kinetic Services is hiring a remote paralegal to support a DFW-based real estate and estate planning law firm. This role starts as a part-time contract position (25–32 hours per week) with a clear path to full-time employment with benefits within six months. Based on current caseload, most contractors in this role transition to 40 hours within the first 60 days.
You will work directly with attorneys on active litigation matters - drafting, researching, filing, and managing a caseload of 50-70 matters. The work is substantive and the pace is fast. Same-day turnarounds happen. We support you with clear systems, responsive communication, and realistic expectations.
This is a Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm role. Nobody works outside those hours.
What You'll Do
- Draft motions, petitions, demand letters, and pleadings under attorney supervision
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and Texas-specific resources
- Manage court timelines, docket deadlines, and filing windows across active matters
- E-file in Texas state courts via eFileTexas; PACER experience required
- Manage client communications professionally and within attorney guidelines
- Coordinate with case managers and legal administrators on matter status
- Maintain organized case files across a caseload of approximately 50 matters
- Handle fast-turnaround requests, including same-day when required
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Currently residing in the State of Texas
- Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience
- Demonstrated litigation experience — drafting, filing, and managing active cases
- Westlaw proficiency
- Experience with e-filing (eFileTexas) and PACER
- Familiarity with case management software
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritize effectively
A plus, but not required:
- Real estate or estate planning paralegal experience
- Experience supporting a caseload of 40+ active matters
Compensation & Path to Full-Time
- Contract rate: commensurate with experience — include your requirements in your application
- Hours: 25–32/week to start; expected to grow to 40 within 60 days
- Timeline to full-time: target six months, with benefits upon conversion
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm CST only

Pay: $54,888.45 - $66,102.22 per year
