Position Overview
Perform electrical work related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of electric power, lighting, and communication systems throughout the plant.
What You’ll Do
- Install conduit, motors, controls, PLCs, instruments, and service equipment
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, schematics, and one‑line diagrams
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues across plant systems
- Operate tools and equipment safely and follow all safety procedures
- Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to support smooth operations
- Set up machines and equipment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Valid manufacturing plant electrical license
- Strong troubleshooting skills in AC/DC circuits, motors, motor controls, PLCs, instrumentation, and communication systems
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedural manuals
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to solve practical problems and work with multiple variables
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, and diagram‑based instructions
- Flexibility to work varying shifts or overtime when needed
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of industrial experience preferred
Current license holder in one of the following:
- Manufacturing Plant electrician (PJ)
- General Journeyman Electrician (J)
- Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME)
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to read work instructions and communicate clearly
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, crouch, crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, and work at heights
- Ability to use hands for fine electrical work and manipulate plant fixtures
- Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force
- Ability to work in environments with electrical risk, moving mechanical parts, heights, noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature variations
