SHIFTS AVAILABLE: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
PAY: Starting range of $28.79 to $33.97 per hour, with opportunities for annual increases
SCOPE OF POSITION:
Responsible for monitoring, servicing and repairing all refrigeration, heating and air conditioning equipment on property in accordance with the company’s standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, organizational specific policies, procedures and practices.

Installs HVAC ductwork including flexible tubing and sheet metal construction.

Conserves, installs and recycles CFC and HCFC (Chloroflourocarbon family) refrigerants maintaining required EPA certification and documents.

Installs or troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic connections and mechanical components of HVAC, refrigeration systems, boiler, and chill water systems.

Installs or troubleshoots and repairs HVAC system automation components (building automation system).

Installs or troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.

Monitors temperature controls and makes operational adjustments on heating and air conditioning equipment to keep guests comfortable.

Maintains spare parts inventory to ensure quick response to facility needs.

Utilizes the maintenance management software to log time and materials on jobs. Closes job when work is completed.

Maintains certification as required for operation of all company equipment and vehicles.

Creates material lists to support work in progress, obtaining quotes and coordinating the order with their supervisor.

Takes direction from Facility Supervisors in prioritizing projects to be completed, work coordination with other departments, and aesthetic standards.

Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all materials and tools used in the normal course of performing the functions of the position.

Performs the functions of the position within all applicable OSHA and Enterprise safety standards

Adheres to the company’s standards ensuring daily work and special projects are completed in an efficient and professional manner, abiding by local, NFPA, and building codes.

Performs preparatory procedures on assigned projects and organizes time to assure all proper steps are taken in completing and producing a finished job.

Performs troubleshooting on complex control systems.

Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.

Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record as outlined in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Attendance Policy.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An applicant’s education, training and experience must be sufficient to demonstrate that the applicant possesses the ability to successfully perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are generally representative of the education, experience, and skills and/or abilities required to enable one to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities:
Proficiency in both written and verbal English communication is required.
High School diploma or GED. Environmental Protection Agency approved “Proper Refrigeration Practices” Type 2 Certification Card. Certification from an accredited trade school for completion of HVAC Operations and Maintenance program. Three years commercial or industrial HVAC and refrigeration repair experience to include centrifugal chillers and boilers. Ability to read and interpret documents such as complex schematic diagrams, line drawings, and blueprints. operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to troubleshoot failure using applicable formulas and test equipment as applied to electrical and refrigeration circuits. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under FireKeepers Casino Hotel insurance. Must be at least 21 years of age.
GENERAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
State boiler certification. Experience in a Casino, entertainment, or hospitality environment. Strong troubleshooting skills.

Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where the noise level varies from quiet to loud depending upon business. Work outdoors may be required in extreme weather conditions.
