Senior Accountant
Willow Grove, PA · On-site · Full-time · Early-career welcome
For more than six decades, Scheerer Bearing has engineered and manufactured precision ball and roller bearings that keep heavy industry moving—wind turbines, mining equipment, steel mills, oil platforms, and military systems around the world. We are an ISO 9001:2015-certified U.S. manufacturer headquartered in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, and we continue to grow through operational excellence, customer service, and engineering expertise.
As a member of our accounting team, you won't be another specialist in a large corporate finance department. You'll work directly with the Controller, gain visibility into every aspect of the business, and play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of multiple operating companies.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations and monthly financial close for two manufacturing companies and several affiliated real estate entities. This position will manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, maintain the general ledger, lead the month-end close process, prepare accurate financial statements, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
Why You’ll Want This Role
- Real ownership, not busywork. You’ll own the full accounting cycle; AP, AR, GL, month-end close, intercompany work, and audit support while becoming a key contributor to the company’s financial success.
- A seat near the action. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the people running the company and see how accounting decisions connect to the actual business.
- Room to grow. As we scale, the responsibilities of this role are designed to deepen. Take initiative and grow your skills, and there is meaningful room to take on more over time.
- A company with staying power. Modern manufacturing, an established reputation, and a team small enough that your work clearly matters.
