Role Description The Retail Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in North Chicago, IL, responsible for delivering an elevated in-store experience that reflects the Marfa Stance brand. Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming and assisting customers, providing detailed product guidance, and supporting individuals in building personalized looks from the collection. The role involves driving retail sales, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and ensuring the store environment is clean, organized, and inviting. The Retail Specialist will process transactions, handle exchanges and returns, manage stock replenishment, and support store events or brand activations. Collaboration with the wider team to share customer feedback and insights is key to strengthening overall customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
Qualifications
- Strong retail sales skills with a focus on connecting customers to products that meet their needs.
- Demonstrated product knowledge abilities, including learning fabric details, construction, and styling options.
- Customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with a commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive experiences.
- Clear and professional communication skills for engaging with customers and collaborating with team members.
- Previous experience in fashion retail or premium/luxury brands is highly beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple customer interactions, and work retail hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Comfort using POS systems and basic digital tools to process sales and track inventory.
- Interest in sustainable fashion and a genuine enthusiasm for helping individuals express their personal style.
