Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and fabricate cabinetry and custom woodwork using hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Install cabinets, doors, trim, siding, fixtures, and other carpentry components on-site in accordance with blueprints and schematics.
- Perform surface preparation including sanding, caulking, plastering, and painting to ensure flawless finishes.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation processes and ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct framing using metal studs or wood framing techniques; handle heavy lifting safely during construction or restoration projects.
- Execute restoration tasks such as water damage remediation, mold remediation, stucco repair, or rebar installation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects involving flooring installation, tile laying, roofing repairs, or masonry work.
- Utilize CNC machinery for fabrication or assembly tasks when applicable; interpret schematics for precise manufacturing.
- Assist with plumbing or electrical work related to fixture installation or renovation projects when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites; operate heavy machinery responsibly.
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and door hanging.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, sanders) for precise craftsmanship.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution.
- Prior experience in construction estimating or fabrication is advantageous.
- Knowledge of restoration industry practices such as water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus.
- Background in manufacturing or remodeling projects involving flooring installation, tile laying, siding application or roofing is desirable.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards; ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Additional skills such as drywall finishing (plastering), fixture installation (lighting or hardware), caulking/sealing (stucco or siding), and electrical experience are highly valued.
