Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Excavation Laborer to join our excavation crew. This position supports excavation and site development projects including site preparation, land clearing, driveways, septic systems, grading, and final site cleanup. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and excavation projects.
- Assist with septic system installation and drainage systems.
- Set grade using lasers, grade rods etc.
- Assist with land clearing and erosion control.
- Operate compact equipment and hand tools as needed.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Maintain equipment and keep job sites clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excavation or construction experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL is a plus.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Understanding of excavation and grading practices.
Experience
- Using lasers and grade equipment is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with equipment operators.
- Attention to detail.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and punctual.
