Machinist Job Description:
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Load and unload parts, using the overhead crane with magnet or straps when needed.

Program the machine using G-Code/MasterCam, as needed based on part specifications.

Use necessary measurement tools (verniers, calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure accurate machining.

Ensure proper fixtures are used based on specific jobs and/or create new fixtures as needed.

Remove finished product from machine, stack on pallets and ensure timely delivery to the next department as required.

Conduct first article, in-process and final inspection of all work orders.

Perform routine maintenance by blowing off debris from the machine with the air hose; wiping down the machine with the proper chemicals to ensure a clean workspace.
- Perform in a safe manner at all times while adhering to the Company safety policies. Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Perform operation of Lathe and Manual Bridgeport machine as needed, along with other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidate would have experience in setup and inspection, G code, GD & T, blueprint reading, Okuma and Mazatrol. Experience and/or knowledge of Mastercam, Wire EDM, 5 Axis and Lathe are a plus.
High School degree or equivalent and 1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the steel industry is essential.
