GIRLS HEAD TENNIS COACH
Laguna Blanca School is a college preparatory, coeducational day school located on two campuses in Santa Barbara, California. Grades EK-4 are located on a quaint campus in Montecito, while Grades 5-12 are located on Laguna’s historic campus in idyllic Hope Ranch. JOB DESCRIPTION
Laguna Blanca High School is looking to build on the success of its Girls Tennis program. We are seeking a skilled coach who has the ability to motivate Laguna Blanca student athletes to reach their highest potential. The ideal candidate will put students first, strive to educate the whole person, and make a difference in the lives of the students served. Responsibilities for this position include planning, organizing, and delivering appropriate coaching and guidance to student athletes with the goal that they achieve not only a high level of skill, but an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in the sport of Tennis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Practice Begins: August 17th, 2026, and regular season ends Mid October If the team advances into CIF, coaches are required to continue coaching until postseason ends Oversee the entire program.
Practice Schedule: Practices must be conducted Monday- Friday
Athletic Banquet: Coaches must coordinate the athletic banquet with the athletic director. CIF/ TCAA rules: Coaches must keep informed and up to date on CIF and TCAA rules Uniforms: Coaches must distribute and collect all uniforms in a timely manner
Education: Coaches must keep informed and up to date on current trends in the sport and attend sport specific clinics
Coaches must meet with the athletic director for a year-end interview
Coaches are required to transport team to away games in 9 passenger van
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to traverse school facility and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency
- Occasionally bend, stoop, squat and lift up to 40 lbs as part of job duties
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for school-related events or projects
- Have a current TB Assessment
- Must provide a clear fingerprint test and background check
- Have CPR and First Aid certifications or have the ability to become certified upon employment

COMPENSATION
The head coaching stipend is $5200, and the program has a paid assistant coach.
