Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, performing dental hygiene procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices.
Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient documentation and record-keeping.
- Perform vital signs checks and assist in medical imaging as needed.
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow for the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral health care, proper hygiene practices, and preventive measures.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient records.
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that meet individual patient needs.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
Candidates should possess:
- Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
