Payroll Specialist
Goya Foods, Inc., a leader in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry based in Jersey City, New Jersey, is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting Department. The position requires a pivotal role between several departments, processing payroll and handling confidential employee information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for multiple locations using ADP software
- Coordinate/review employee hours’ time using E-Time and related interface
- Process and reconcile garnishments
- Process 401k File
- Maintain vacation, sick and personal days leave records
- Manages ADP relationship
- Answer questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters
- Collaborates with HR to ensure employee data is accurate and properly synchronized between HRIS and Payroll systems
- Comply and verify compliance with company policies
- Review payroll deductions
- Interpret and enforce company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures
- Monitors/coordinate preparation of government reports through ADP
- Review ADP interface with M3 GL
- Other Ad-hoc requests
Knowledge and Skills:
The position requires a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, dedication not customer service and computer literacy. The candidate must be well organized, sensitive to handling confidential information, flexible and highly results and detail-oriented and capable of effectively managing multiple tasks.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school, plus 5 years of work experience and/or training in ADP payroll software, HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce, UKG UltiPro, or similar and intermediate accounting knowledge for payroll related tasks.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
