Position Summary
The Dining Room Server enhances each resident’s day by providing high-quality, attentive dining service in a clean, comfortable environment. This role focuses on professionalism, consistency, and kindness—ensuring residents feel cared for, respected, and at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dining service using proper etiquette and professional hospitality standards
- Take and place resident meal orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver meals and return to tables to ensure satisfaction and address needs
- Prepare and maintain table settings, condiments, and menu displays
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining room before, during, and after service
- Sanitize tables, reset place settings, and vacuum after each meal service
- Refill sugar caddies, salt & pepper shakers, and beverage stations
- Maintain beverage/server pantry and pub area supplies
- Launder napkins, aprons, and kitchen towels as assigned
- Clean beverage machines (coffee, juice, soda) regularly
- Assist dietary aides or chef when time permits
- Take a team-first approach—helping wherever needed to maintain excellence
Qualifications
- At least 16 years old
- Prior dietary and/or food service experience preferred
- Sensitivity to the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities
- High attention to cleanliness, organization, and service standards
- Friendly, respectful attitude and strong teamwork mindset
