EnviroAir Systems is seeking a meticulous, calm and highly professional IAQ Field Inspector to conduct residential assessments throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Home inspectors are especially well suited for this role because they understand how to evaluate a home methodically, document conditions, write clear reports and communicate professionally with homeowners.
We also welcome experienced candidates from property and insurance inspection, residential construction, restoration, building performance, HVAC, quality control and related field trades.
We are looking for the right aptitude, character and communication style: someone who is observant, systematic, technologically capable, empathetic and committed to producing accurate work.
About the role
The IAQ Field Inspector evaluates HVAC systems and related conditions throughout the home that may affect the indoor environment. This position combines field inspection, report writing, customer communication and project coordination.
This is not a sales position. Our inspectors do not use fear, pressure or exaggeration to influence homeowners. They document conditions accurately, explain the assessment process and help customers understand what happens next.
Responsibilities
· Schedule and confirm inspection projects with customers
· Conduct detailed residential indoor-air-quality inspections
· Evaluate HVAC systems and related whole-home conditions
· Collect photographs, measurements and field information
· Prepare accurate, organized assessment reports
· Explain the inspection process and next steps to customers
· Communicate project information to field teams
· Maintain inspection records, instruments and equipment
· Participate in ongoing training
Ideal candidate
- Has experience inspecting, evaluating or working within residential properties
- Is meticulous, observant and comfortable following established procedures
- Communicates clearly in writing and in person
- Has a calm, authentic and non-sales-oriented demeanor
- Is comfortable using mobile technology and field instruments
- Can discuss concerning conditions without unnecessarily alarming customers
- Maintains a polished, professional appearance and arrives free of smoke, fragrances and other strong odors
- Is willing and able to enter attics, use ladders, navigate limited-access areas and work in Florida field conditions
- Has reliable transportation for travel throughout the Tampa Bay area
Compensation
$58,000–$68,000 annual salary, based on relevant experience and demonstrated capability
