Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions or failures, troubleshooting issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, including replacing parts, adjusting controls, and calibrating systems as needed.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects by installing new equipment or upgrading existing infrastructure under supervision.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs for accountability and future reference.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or installations to ensure safety standards and quality control.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R, refrigeration, or related fields.
- Solid mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with construction practices related to equipment installation or system upgrades is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate projects effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an energetic approach to diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently.
