Overview
We’re looking for a creative, outgoing, and detail-oriented Marketing & Events Intern to join our team for the summer. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about social media, content creation, and event planning and wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced, fun environment.
Marketing
- Capture engaging photo and video content throughout the facility for social media
- Edit and produce short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, etc.)
- Research social media trends and share insights to grow and engage our audience
- Assist with competitor analysis and social media audits
- Help plan and write content for the social media calendar
- Support the Marketing & Event Director with additional initiatives
Events
- Assist in executing public and private events, including activities, décor, and vendor coordination
- Help with event setup and teardown, ensuring spaces are organized and guest-ready
- Support guest experience through check-ins, questions, and on-site needs
- Help generate leads through phone and email outreach
- Prepare and organize event supplies and materials
- Take on additional tasks to support successful event execution
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field
- Strong interest in social media, content creation, and events
- Organized, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable interacting with guests and working in a team setting
- Must be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and breeds
Details
- Internship runs: June – early August
- Schedule: Approximately 25–30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
- Compensation: $12/hour
- Location: On-site at Paws & Pints
