Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, and styling tailored to each pet’s breed and individual needs
- Handle animals with care, ensuring safe restraint and comfort during grooming procedures
- Assess pet health and behavior, alerting staff or pet owners to any concerns or abnormalities
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming station and sanitize tools regularly to uphold hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming preferences and aftercare instructions
- Assist with pet handling, training, and basic veterinary procedures when necessary
- Support kennel duties, including animal handling, feeding, and general pet care tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming or related animal care fields such as veterinary technician or assistant roles
- Strong dog handling skills and knowledge of animal restraint techniques
- Experience with pet sitting, kennel management, or heavy lifting involved in animal care environments
- Familiarity with dog training principles and veterinary experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing, lifting heavy animals or equipment, and performing detailed grooming tasks
