Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation are top-notch
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials to keep offerings fresh and exciting
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely delivery for functions
- Serve dishes to guests with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing excellent customer service when needed
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are met or exceeded at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment, with strong kitchen skills including knife handling and meal preparation
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating awareness of special dietary needs
- Skilled in food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
