Responsibilities:
-Hours: 8:30am to 12pm Monday through Friday with occasional afternoon shifts as needed.
-Position begins June 22 through July 31, not including July 20-24.
- Assist with teachers or subbing into the classrooms and assist with diaper changes and potty training as needed.
- Support students in their learning and development, providing guidance and assistance as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies when necessary
- Assist with classroom management, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs or learning challenges
Skills:
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in early childhood education or preschool
- Strong knowledge of literacy education and early childhood development principles
- Ability to assist with lesson planning and curriculum development
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
12 early childhood education units, including 3 infant/toddler units a plus.
Minimum 6 early childhood education units with continuing early childhood classes.
