Proper Fish serves classic British-style fish and chips in the heart of Bainbridge Island. We're a fast-paced, high-quality shop where great food meets genuine hospitality. We're looking for someone who can pour a solid drink, run a smooth front of house, and make every guest feel taken care of.
What you'll do
- Greet and seat guests, take orders, and deliver food and drinks promptly and accurately
- Bartend: pour beer, wine, and cocktails; maintain bar cleanliness, stock, and inventory
- Run point of sale (Toast), handle payments, and manage to-go and dine-in orders
- Keep the front of house clean, stocked, and welcoming throughout the shift
- Answer questions about the menu, allergens, and specials
- Support the kitchen and team during rushes; jump in wherever needed
- Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and health code standards
What we're looking for
- Friendly, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Prior bartending or serving experience preferred (but we'll train the right person)
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Weekend and evening availability
- Washington Food Worker Cardand MAST alcohol server permitrequired (or ability to obtain before starting)
- Must be 21+ to serve alcohol
Compensation & schedule
- Pay starts at $19.50/hour plus tips
