SOC MANAGER - Security Engineering

5ironCyber’s Security Operations Center (SOC) is located in Franklin, Tennessee and all security operations are run from this facility. Our goal is more than notification—Our goal is response and resolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor and develop the security engineering team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, tuning and maintenance of security platforms (including but not limited to: EDR, SIEM, Web Proxy, Vulnerability Scanning)
- Ensure detection content and use cases are developed, tested and continuously improved to address evolving threats
- Collaborate with other teams and SOC Analysts to optimize workflows and escalations
- Develop and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting to demonstrate team effectiveness
- Partner with other SOC managers to align security engineering efforts with threat detection and response strategies
- Provide process guidance during major security events
- Handle client escalations and escalations related to security events
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity (or similar field)
- A minimum of two (2) years in a leadership or management role
- In lieu of a degree, 5+ years in security engineering with at least two (2) years in a leadership or management role is acceptable
- Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and project managers on a regular basis to support implementations, change management and troubleshooting
- Experience working in a leading ticketing system and prioritizing workflow based on criticality and urgency
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Relevant active industry certifications required

All candidates will be required to take an extensive background screen, credit screen, and drug screen prior to employment. This is an on-site position in Franklin, TN.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
