Position Summary: Seeking an experienced, customer-focused Used Truck Parts Salesperson to sell used truck components, support customers by phone and in person, manage inventory lookups, and coordinate part removal and shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound sales calls and customer inquiries; generate outbound follow-ups and leads.
- Identify, locate, and sell used truck parts (engines, transmissions, axles, cabs, electrical, suspension, etc.).
- Use VIN/body number lookups, and inventory systems to verify compatibility.
- Inspect and document part condition; coordinate removal with yard techs.
- Prepare quotes, invoices, and maintain accurate sales records.
- Assist with inventory control, tagging, organizing, and cycle counts.
- Build and maintain relationships with shops, fleets, and individual customers.
- Follow safety and compliance procedures in the yard and warehouse.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years sales experience in used truck parts, salvage, or heavy-duty parts distribution preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of medium/heavy-duty trucks and components.
- Comfortable with parts catalogs, VIN decoders, and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors/in yard conditions as needed.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.
