Role Description
The Warehouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Shreveport, LA, responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations and ensuring accurate, efficient handling of inventory and orders. Day-to-day tasks include shipping and receiving, monitoring stock levels, purchasing, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate records. The role also includes enforcing safety procedures, optimizing warehouse storage and layout, and ensuring the safe operation of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The Warehouse Manager will collaborate with sales and logistics teams to support timely order fulfillment and exceptional customer service while continually identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce errors.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Stock Control and Inventory Control to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Management to track product movement, manage replenishment, and support order fulfillment.
- Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management to oversee daily warehouse activities, staffing, and workflow efficiency.
- Candidates should possess skills in Forklift Operation and the safe use of warehouse equipment to support loading, unloading, and material handling.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience supervising warehouse or operations staff.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Proficiency with inventory or warehouse management software and basic computer skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed and work on-site in a warehouse environment.
