Westmart is hiring a friendly, reliable Part-Time Cashier to join our team!
This role covers day shifts, providing coverage and support wherever needed most. If you enjoy variety, take pride in great customer service, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Day Shift: 9am -6pm
What You'll Do
- Greet customers and provide a welcoming checkout experience
- Accurately process cash, card, and digital payment transactions
- Scan and bag merchandise efficiently and with care
- Handle returns and exchanges per store policy
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area
- Answer basic customer questions or direct them to the right team member
- Support other store tasks as needed during slower periods
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Reliability and punctuality
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but not required — we're happy to train the right person
Schedule
- Part-time: approximately 20–25 hours per week
- Shifts may occasionally include evenings, or weekends depending on store needs
