American Traveler is hiring an RN - Operating Room for a cancer hospital setting requiring 2+ years of OR experience, Epic proficiency, and an active OH or compact RN license.

Operating Room department within a cancer hospital and research center
-
Case mix includes oncology, gynecology, plastics, general surgery, neurology, thoracic, ortho/spine, ENT, urology, and robotics (Da Vinci)
-
Day/evening rotating schedule combining 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts to total 40 hours per week
-
Shift options include 06:30-17:00, 06:30-19:00, and 10:30-20:30

Weekend coverage required as needed

Call coverage required as needed, including evening (1500-2300), night (2300-0700), and weekend (0700-1900, 1900-0700) call

Uses Epic EMR
-
Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Oncology experience required
-
BLS certification required
-
ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
-
Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred

Epic experience required
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred

Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

2 professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted

Provide circulating and scrubbing support across a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, plastics, general surgery, neurology, thoracic, orthopedics, ENT, urology, and robotic-assisted procedures

Maintain accurate patient records using Epic

Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal surgical outcomes

Perform duties related to specimen handling, infection control, radiation and laser safety, and emergency response protocols

Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Former employees eligible for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more

Current employees ineligible for a travel assignment at this health system

RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less

Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
