POSITION SUMMARY:
Security Officers act as a visual deterrent, intervene and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency needs including acts or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety threats. This position requires specialized training and physical conditioning. All duties are to be performed following departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Position Status: Part-Time, Grave Shift
Location: Gold Strike Casino - Tunica, MS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- One (1) year of customer service experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
- Ability to obtain Gaming Registration.
- Valid Driver’s License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency, and effectively use defensive tactics and handcuffing techniques.
- Ability to participate in all evacuation procedures to aid guests and employees during an emergency.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment.
- Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency, and effectively use various computer software.
- Candidates will be required to satisfactorily pass a security officer academy training course.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Varies.
- Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
