Warehouse Associate – Residential HVAC

About Us
Modern Air Design is a growing residential HVAC company specializing in new construction, custom homes, replacements, and service support throughout the greater Charlotte region. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Warehouse Associate to help support our installation and service teams by maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing materials, and keeping operations running efficiently.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and reliability are critical.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming HVAC equipment and materials
- Pull, pick, and stage materials for residential HVAC installations and service calls
- Use handheld scanners and mobile devices to pick orders, verify inventory, and track material movement
- Accurately scan equipment, parts, and materials into warehouse and inventory systems
- Prepare and verify orders for installers, service technicians, and field managers
- Maintain accurate inventory counts of equipment, parts, tools, and supplies
- Keep warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Assist with returns
- Operate pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely
- Support field crews with extra material requests
- Assist with maintaining fleet tools and warehouse stock levels
- Work closely with purchasing, project managers, and field supervisors
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse or HVAC industry experience preferred
- Experience with order picking, barcode scanners, or warehouse management systems preferred
- Experience with residential HVAC equipment and materials is a strong plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
- Basic computer, smartphone, and scanner/device proficiency
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience
- Residential HVAC installation support
- Inventory management systems
- Barcode scanning and digital order picking systems
- Construction or trade warehouse experience
- Material handling and logistics coordination
- Experience with HVAC brands and equipment identification

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime as needed
- Hours: 8AM-4PM (till 4:30-5:00 as needed)
