Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director (ED) to lead our organization with passion, strategic insight, and a commitment to excellence. The purpose of this position is to lead the organization in a way that mirrors the values and mission of the Wesley Trinity United Methodist Church, providing a positive impact on the community and those we serve and strengthen our business partnerships. Your leadership will inspire teams, foster strong relationships with donors, and drive innovative initiatives that provide donations to help us continue this program.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the organization’s programs, staff, and operations to ensure alignment with mission and goals.
- Responsible for the correspondence to donors confirming receipt of donations and confirming our 501c status. All responses to be made within seventy-two business hours while maintaining a copy of all confirmation letters.
- Responsible for reports as needed to the San Angelo Food Bank.
- Oversee administrative functions such as budgeting, compliance with regulations, reporting requirements, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and best practices related to social services and disability support programs while maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
- Coordinates with Trustee to manage procurement of contractors or repair persons for the repair or maintenance of the equipment and facility.

- Meets with leaders from volunteer groups to assure we are all operating under the same guidelines - when necessary, provides training, and gathers ideas and suggestions from team leaders.
- Works collaboratively with Operations Coordinator, Wesley Nurse, counselors, and volunteers.
- Leads and attends bi-monthly board meetings, providing a report outlining the activities of the Wesley Trinity Daily Bread Lunch Program (WTDBLP) and makes recommendations on future activities. Attends Health Committee meetings.
- Makes sound business decisions on key financial components of the organization in order to achieve superior results and maximize the goals of the WTDBLP:
- Works with treasurer to ensure up-to-date and accurate financial records and reports.
- Responsible for all deposits and maintains records of each.
- Submits all bills for payment in a timely fashion.
- Monitors the expenditures of the Operations Coordinator.
- Research and reviews most cost-effective vendors and purchases.
- Responsible for strong communications and marketing of the WTDBLP throughout the community:
- Demonstrates proficiency in written and verbal communication - communicating effectively with internal and external audiences.
- Encourages staff and volunteers to communicate to our constituency with empathy and compassion, demonstrating a customer focus.
- The Executive Director serves as a positive role model and ambassador for the WTDBLP throughout the community. Working with community organizations to share the work of the WTDBLP.
- Creates, manages and maintains all marketing materials for the WTDBLP.
- Speaks with organizations such as churches and service groups to maintain volunteers so the WTDBLP will be able to continue its mission. Additionally, gives interviews on all media types.
- The Executive Director will oversee and maintain the website. In addition, all social media outreach will fall under the auspices of the ED.
- Leads a consistent, compliant organization with flexibility to meet the needs of those we serve:
- Monitors and maintains the compliance regulations and guidelines of the City of San Angelo Health Department and those of the San Angelo Food Bank as well.
- Continuously strives to ensure the kitchen and pantry conform to the Health Department standards and passes all Health Department and San Angelo Food Bank inspections.
- The ED and Operations Coordinator will work together to provide policy and procedure training to all volunteer team members. These two will also provide daily guidance, as needed, to the volunteer teams preparing each meal.
- Qualifications
- Obtains Food Manager Certificate within first 30 days and maintains certification.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes, and a working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Have knowledge of Grant writing and be able to pursue said grants.
- Explores all fund raising oppportunities.
- Ability to navigate regulatory environments effectively while maintaining a focus on client-centered service delivery.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
