Job Summary
The Doubletree by Hilton-Newark is seeking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and hospitality, demonstrating a passion for providing outstanding guest services in a fine dining environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest receives attentive and personalized service, contributing to their overall satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using OpenTable or similar systems, ensuring all requests are noted.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any needs or concerns promptly.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of menu items and service techniques.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred, particularly in fine dining establishments.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and guest services.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software such as OpenTable is a plus.
- A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
