The Field Operations Manager (FOM) is responsible for field operations related to opening new branch locations, help with existing locations, to develop sales opportunities from the field and growing the business through the actions and performance of the Drivers/Operators. This role reports to the Director - National Sales & Business Development and will assist in developing and implementing field sales strategy, customer service performance and general field activities that will successfully grow Eco-Pan branches.
While working with the Director, Branch Managers and sales team to develop new and existing markets through customer support and interaction, this role will also have responsibilities to coordinate and enforce safety programs and policies with field personnel. This role also will certify that drivers and assets are working according to company expectations and best practices during operations. The FOM will oversee training and developing drivers to ensure they are providing a positive and impactful presentation to our clients’ and the environment in which they operate.
Furthermore, the FOM will work closely with the Operations Supervisor to coordinate programs and tools that must be in place inside the fence-line but impact outside fence-line activities. The FOM will also take on projects that are deemed necessary to improve our company’s overall performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Sales, Marketing and Customer Service – Primary area of focus. Working with the National Sales Director and Branch Manager/Staff to grow new and existing markets. Coordinate and align field operations with the sales strategy so that the company maximizes its service level, presentation with the customer and overall company growth.
· Coordination and Supervision - Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings that are in the field and those departments that can impact their ability to accelerate new branch sales, growth of existing branches and improving the level of customer service to our clients.
· Best Practices - Improve processes and policies that support customer service and company growth. Formulate and implement policies and procedures to maximize the productivity of our field personnel and their impact on clients. Monitor and enforce adherence to rules, regulations and procedures as required.
· Help with the hiring process for drivers, mechanics and provide branch support during employee change transitions.
· Conducts Driving Practice Evaluations as part of Field Evaluations and provides input/updates to the EP Operations Manual.
· Strategic Input - Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans
· Financial - Utilize financial data to improve profitability and productivity specifically in how we approach our dispatching, service, operations of field personnel and related assets. Help prepare and control operational budgets. Plan effective strategies and implement programs for the financial wellbeing of the company.
· Safety – Ensure all field operations are done in a safe and organized manner as outlined in company policies and programs.
· DOT Compliance – Ensue that all driver’s license, medical card and drug testing is in full compliance company, State and Federal regulations and policies.
· Monitor all Safety programs in the field are thoroughly implemented and followed by company personnel.
· Operates cranes in areas of the company as when we are in need of backup resources or an interim branch manager.
· Validate that the representation of Eco-Pan Inc. inside and outside the company remains professional, positive and the best in the Industry.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
This position has no reports but works closely with the Managers, Sales Team and Staff at the branch level overseeing that the Branch customer service level and activity with the field personnel are meeting company expectations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
CDL A or B required
· Quickly adopt the concepts, practices and procedures of ECO-PAN Inc.
· Managing a high level of customer service within a demanding service industry.
· Documented experience managing a business or branch office.
· Supervisory experience required; ability to manage, lead and motivate staff.
· Ability to understand, interpret, explain and apply Company policy and procedures.
· Able to analyze complex service-related issues and problems, evaluate alternative solutions and develop sound conclusions and courses of action.
· Must be able to work long hours and overtime as required with no set work schedule.
· Exercise tact, objectivity, sensitivity, strategy and judgment in dealing with difficult employees or customers.
· Must have a clean driving record. Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
· Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills; Microsoft Office 2007 preferred.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent relationship management skills.
· Must be highly organized with the ability to follow through in a fast-paced environment. Project management experience a plus. Must be able to prioritize among competing requirements.
· Must be able to travel and do extended stays for company related business on an as needed basis.
EDUCATION
· College degree in business administration, commerce, management, industrial technology or industrial engineering.
· Industry relevant experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· This position requires activities that take place both inside and outside the office.
· Office environment has little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and excessive temperatures.
· Must be able to meet DOT requirements for hearing and seeing.
· Must be able to verbally communicate to others.
· Must possess good manual dexterity to climb on and around the crane truck in all weather conditions common to the area of the country.
· Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and have the balance and dexterity to walk around various construction job sites.
· Must tolerate occasional working environment with outside temperatures that include excessive heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.
