About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to support, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC and building automation systems throughout Northern Vermont. This role is perfect for a technician who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and customer interaction — and who’s looking to grow into more advanced commercial and controls-based work.
Whether your background is residential or commercial, mechanical or controls, we’ll meet you where you are and provide training to expand your skillset.
To ensure efficient response times and reasonable travel, the ideal candidate will live in or near one of the following areas: Enosburg, St. Albans City, Newport, Lamoille County, Williston, or St. Johnsbury, VT.
Major perk:
On-call rotation only once every ~15 weeks (far lighter than industry norms)
What You’ll Do
HVAC & Mechanical Service
Perform service, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on all types of Boilers, RTU’s, MAU’s, Water Heaters, Air Handlers, and HVAC systems.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and make reliable repairs
Complete clear service documentation and report
Controls & Software (Training Provided)
Commission and support HVAC control systems and related software
Review alarms, trends, and system data to optimize performance
Assist with system configuration, updates, and troubleshooting
Customer Support
Provide professional on-site and remote customer service
Communicate findings, recommendations, and next steps clearly
Build strong, long-term customer relationships
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, or related field
Residential technicians encouraged to apply — commercial transition supported
Experience with oil, gas, or AC systems (training available in these areas)
Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics
Comfortable using diagnostic tools, software, and field instrumentation
Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job site
