NV Cann is a scientific testing laboratory that analyzes cannabis products from licensed marijuana facilities across the state of Nevada.
This specific Sample Technician position is with emphasis on long distance and overnight travel to multiple different cities in Nevada. Most weeks will require 2-3 travel days out of town. (Expenses taken care of.) As a Sample Tech your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: preparing for the day’s schedule, driving to client facilities and sampling products according to State regulations, working as a team to clean and maintain all tools, equipment, and areas, staying on top of inventory levels, and communicating when something is needed. Must be able to provide excellent customer service to a variety of clients.
Usually Monday-Friday 8am-4pm with multiple overnights during the week. Hours vary on travel days.
Preferably start as soon as possible
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school education or equivalent
- Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license and Real ID
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have your own reoliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance
- Must be willing to drive your personal vehicle 50-100 miles per day on average (will receive federal reimbursement rate for mileage)
- Customer service experience (minimum 2 years)
- Must have high organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be willing and able to do weekly overnight trips to Reno and rural areas of Nevada.
- Must be able to verify accuracy of documentation
- Available to work occasional long hours (Some travel days can add up to 10-12 hours)
- Ability to multitask without losing focus
- Ability to problem solve in the moment
- Ability to lift 20+ pounds
- Ability to stand for hours at a time
- Ability to drive for hours at a time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
