Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe health status, reporting any concerns promptly
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption
- Support residents with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Document patient observations, care activities, and updates accurately in compliance with healthcare standards
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to ensure a comfortable living space
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures when necessary
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in caregiving or personal assistance roles, ideally within environments such as assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), autism, or hospice care is highly valued. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and working within HIPAA guidelines is essential. Additional qualifications include:
- Proven experience in home & community care or long-term care settings
- Knowledge of assisting with ADLs and patient observation techniques
- Hands-on experience with patient monitoring equipment and vital signs measurement
- Group home experience or working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Certifications such as CPR, first aid, or nursing assistant credentials are advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or equipment handling

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
