Jagemann Engineering is looking for a Part-Time Accountant to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations.
We’re a fast-moving engineering and manufacturing company, and we need someone who is organized, accurate, dependable, and comfortable managing the details without needing a lot of oversight.
This is a hands-on position with responsibility for much of the accounting function at Jagemann Engineering.
What You'll Do
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and send customer invoices
- Gather employee hours, project costs, materials, and other expenses from our accounting system to prepare accurate customer billing
- Format invoices and supporting documentation to meet customer requirements
- Reconcile company credit card expenses and expense reports
- Set up vendor and company payments
- Assist with bank and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
- Track outstanding invoices and follow up as needed
- Work with company leadership and our outside accounting partners
- Help improve accounting processes as the company grows
What We're Looking For
We're open to the right person and value capability and ownership over a specific title or number of years of experience.
You should have:
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, invoicing, and basic accounting practices
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Comfort working with project costs, labor hours, and detailed customer billing
- Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets
- Xero experience is a plus
- Manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or project-accounting experience is a plus
