At the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA), we are a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting service members, veterans, and military spouses in advancing their careers in project management.
As the Director of Technology, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing VPMMA’s digital infrastructure by managing core platforms, overseeing technical support volunteers, and helping streamline operational systems. Your work will directly support the mission, growth, and sustainability of our organization.
Position Details:
Position Type: Volunteer (Pro Bono)
Location: Remote
Commitment: ~12–15 Hours/Month
Reports To: Executive Leadership / Board
What You’ll Do (Impact: ~12–15 Hours/Month):
You will focus on managing VPMMA’s technology systems, supporting technical volunteers, and improving operational workflows across the organization.
- Technology Platform Management: Oversee and help maintain VPMMA’s core technology platforms including Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, Pabbly, and Tally.so
- Ensure systems are organized, functional, and aligned with organizational needs
- Assist with permissions, updates, and user management processes
- Volunteer Team Leadership
- Lead and support technical volunteers responsible for daily platform maintenance and operational support
- Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and help ensure projects are completed efficiently
- Promote a collaborative and positive team environment
- Workflow Automation & Systems Integration
- Support automation efforts using platforms such as Pabbly to improve organizational efficiencyHelp integrate systems and platforms to create a seamless user experience across departments
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve workflows
- Cross-Functional Support & Reporting
- Collaborate with department leaders to help solve technology and operational challenges
- Provide updates on technology initiatives, timelines, and progress during leadership or board meetingsWho You Are:

Tech-Savvy
Comfortable using Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, automation tools, and similar platforms.
