American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift float position requiring 2+ years of experience and ACLS, BLS, NRP, and RRT certifications.

Float position covering respiratory therapy needs throughout the entire hospital
-
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
-
Block scheduling is allowed
-
Mandatory floating required, including coverage of Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatric Critical Care settings
-
May float to Patient Observer (Sitter) duties as needed

Cerner charting system preferred
-
On-call availability required
-
Weekend work required
-
Rotating shifts including work during inclement weather

Minimum 2 years of experience required
-
Active MO state or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration - license required if applicable

ACLS, BLS, NRP, and RRT certifications required
-
CRT certification not accepted
-
Pending RRT license acceptable
-
Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Cerner charting experience preferred
-
Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

Ability to work the full term of the contract and assigned shift

First-time travelers accepted

Perform respiratory therapy duties including ventilator management, airway management, ABG interpretation, and medication administration via various delivery systems
-
Provide care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations including patients with ARDS, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and respiratory distress syndrome
-
May assist with high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal/pediatric respiratory support including CPAP, ECMO, and oscillating ventilator management
-
Work in a 24/7 healthcare facility with routine exposure to patients with contagious illnesses

Minimum 50% holiday coverage required during the contract

Maximum of 10 RTO days allowed

Re-orientation not required for returning travelers within 18 months of their last assignment

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
-
Travelers may work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts or 9 months of consecutive service before a mandatory 6-month break is required
