We're searching for a Lead Registered Nurse who is ready to take ownership of nursing operations across our Residential and Community Action Team (CAT) programs. This is a high-impact leadership position where you'll guide clinical practice, support nursing staff, improve systems, and ensure every young person in our care receives exceptional medical oversight.

What You'll Do
As our Lead RN, you'll serve as the clinical leader for nursing services while working closely with program leadership, therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and direct care staff.
You'll be responsible for:
Clinical Leadership

Lead and supervise our team of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and clinical guidance

Complete annual performance evaluations
-
Ensure quality nursing practices across Residential and CAT programs

Serve as the clinical resource for staff and leadership
Medication Management
-
Oversee every aspect of medication administration and compliance
-
Maintain Medication Administration Records (MARs)
-
Monitor narcotic logs and medication counts
-
Coordinate pharmacy services and urgent medication needs
-
Ensure medication storage, documentation, and disposal meet all regulatory requirements
Medical Coordination

Coordinate psychiatric clinics and provider appointments
-
Process physician orders, prior authorizations, lab work, and informed consents

Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical records and RXNT
-
Communicate medication and treatment changes to appropriate staff
Youth Health Oversight

Complete medical intake reviews and medication reconciliation

Conduct AIMS assessments
-
Monitor ongoing medical concerns

Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, pharmacies, specialists, and families
Leadership & Operations

Develop monthly on-call schedules

Approve payroll and manage time-off requests

Attend interdisciplinary treatment and house team meetings

Train House Parents in medication delegation in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act

Help ensure a safe, healthy environment across campus

Provide nursing coverage when needed
Trip & Home Visit Support

Prepare medications for home visits and off-campus activities
-
Ensure proper tracking, documentation, and reconciliation upon return

Qualifications
Required

Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license

Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Preferred

Leadership or supervisory experience

Experience in behavioral health, pediatrics, residential treatment, or child welfare
-
Experience with medication management systems and electronic medical records
