Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part time Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing the highest level of service to our furry clients and their owners.
As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals in our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Assist with bathing, brushing, and general grooming of pets as needed.
- Handle dogs safely and effectively during walks or playtime.
- Support customer service efforts by communicating with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and behaviors.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as pet grooming, dog handling, or veterinary assistance is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with animal behavior and training techniques is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary when handling larger breeds or moving supplies.
- A genuine love for animals combined with patience and empathy towards their needs.

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour
