Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening supplies, plants, outdoor tools, and landscape materials
- Provide expert advice on plant identification, horticulture techniques, floral design, and lawn care to enhance customer satisfaction
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering and cash handling transactions
- Maintain organized merchandise displays, stock shelves, and ensure products are properly labeled and replenished
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging plants and garden products attractively to boost sales
- Answer customer inquiries via phone communication promptly and professionally
- Assist with outdoor work tasks such as planting, watering, pruning, lawn care, and landscape maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor work is essential
- Knowledge of lawn care, gardening, horticulture, floral design, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
- Ability to identify various plants and provide gardening advice confidently
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for outdoor tasks
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stocking, merchandising, and inventory control effectively
- Outgoing personality with a passion for helping customers find the right outdoor solutions
