Lathe / CNC Machinist / General Tool Room – Full-Time (Day Shift)
Location: Port Huron, MI
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Overview:
We are looking for someone who enjoys machining and wants to continue learning and growing their skills. We are not a high-volume production shop. Our work includes short-run production, tooling, repair work, machine rebuilding, and custom manufacturing projects. We are a small family-owned company where good employees are appreciated, treated with respect, and have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of machining and manufacturing skills.
We are willing to train the right person, but you should have some machining experience and a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who shows up every day, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn.
The right candidate does not need to know everything. We are looking for someone with a good attitude, mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn. Pay is based on experience and ability. We are looking for the right person and are willing to compensate accordingly for experienced machinists who can contribute to the team.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate manual and CNC lathes
- Set up jobs and monitor machining processes
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, etc.)
- Maintain clean workstations and perform routine machine maintenance
- Work on short-run and precision parts (not high-volume production)
- Assist with general tool room work as needed
- Contribute to a problem-solving and team-oriented environment
Requirements:
- Experience in metal machining (manual or CNC lathe/mill work)
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude, reliable, and eager to learn
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Must be coachable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
