Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide menus, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using handwritten communication ensuring all special requests and allergies are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a high level of guest engagement and satisfaction.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash or credit payments, and manage POS systems with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and uphold food safety standards.
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally to foster a welcoming environment.
- Assist with opening or closing duties such as setting up or cleaning the dining area to uphold sanitation standards.
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in a fast-paced or fine dining setting is preferred. Training provided.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food safety regulations enhances your ability to serve confidently.
- Experience in food service roles including serving, bussing, hosting/hostessing, or bartending is valuable.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, multitasking, and sales upselling contribute to success in this role.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling ensures smooth operations.
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be an asset for understanding food preparation processes.
