Job Summary
We are seeking for a detail-oriented individual for a Neurologists Office located in Cedars Sinai Hospital. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your energetic approach will help coordinate appointments, manage patient records, and facilitate effective communication between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at the front desk
- Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes.
- Collect and process payments, including medical collections and billing procedures.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately.
- Assist with medical scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up reminders.
- Support medical office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative role; clinic or dental experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems.
- Familiarity with medical billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT), insurance verification, Medicare processes, and health information management.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Exceptional communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Previous office management or clerical experience in healthcare settings is advantageous
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures is a bonus for dental clinic roles
Pay: $19.00 per hour
