Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Conduct dimensional measurements using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify product specifications.
- Perform visual inspections utilizing vision inspection systems to detect surface defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to accurately assess product conformity.
- Execute quality audits in accordance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations to ensure compliance across all production stages.
- Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, non-conformance reports, and inspection results to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly, providing feedback on measurement techniques or process adjustments as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, calibration logs for measuring instruments, and audit reports to support traceability and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, with familiarity in GMP, ISO standards, and FDA regulations.
- Strong knowledge of measurement tools such as micrometers, height gauges, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T symbols, and manufacturing documentation accurately.
- Proficiency in using measurement instruments and conducting dimensional measurements with precision.
- Familiarity with quality management systems like Calypso or similar platforms is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and data interpretation.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Understanding of regulatory/legal compliance standards applicable to production environments including HACCP, CGMP, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and FDA requirements.
