Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will play a vital role in menu planning and food preparation, contributing to the overall success of our fine dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service industry, particularly in a kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen equipment.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
