Essential Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
- Deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction aligned with curriculum goals
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that address diverse student needs
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support whole-group, small-group, and individualized learning
- Establish clear learning objectives and monitor student progress toward mastery
Classroom Environment
- Create and maintain a positive, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom culture
- Set and uphold high academic and behavioral expectations
- Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
Student Assessment & Support
- Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback and required reports
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance
- Collaborate with specialists and staff to support students with identified learning needs
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school, state, and federal requirements
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school committees
- Supervise teacher assistants, student teachers, or volunteers as assigned
- Support and uphold the mission and educational philosophy of Victory Collegiate Academy
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of instructional best practices for elementary and/or middle grades
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with applicable educational policies and procedures
- Ability to analyze and use student data to inform instruction
- Demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, and sound judgment
- Commitment to continuous professional growth
