Job Description:
We are a drayage company located in Gardena, CA seeking an experienced drayage/trucking sales professional to join our growing team. We handle container drayage, air freight, FTL loads, and have a warehouse with transloading capabilities and are constantly striving to utilize all the service points our operation offers. The ideal candidate brings an established book of business and a proven track record of generating and maintaining profitable customer relationships within the drayage and intermodal trucking space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an existing book of drayage/trucking customers
- Develop new business opportunities within ports, intermodal, and regional trucking markets
- Quote, negotiate, and close drayage and trucking services
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high service satisfaction
- Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth execution of freight
- Be creative in sales efforts, we appreciate a "think-outside-the-box" approach in today's highly competitive landscape
- Meet or exceed revenue and margin targets
Required Qualifications:
- Sales experience in drayage, intermodal, or trucking.
- Existing book of business strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of port operations, chassis, and drayage pricing
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Compensation & Benefits:
